Sweet denim wasn't the assignment.
This pair of dark-wash jeans was hand-distressed and reworked by Blackwell Kids Co., with layers of black fabric and skull-and-crossbones print sewn behind the openings to create a gritty peekaboo effect.
Every rip was intentionally placed and every fabric panel was added by hand, turning an ordinary pair of kids' jeans into something with a whole lot more attitude.
The skull print shows through differently as the denim moves, while the black-on-black sections keep the look worn, layered and unmistakably Blackwell.
