FROM PLAIN WHITE TO ANYTHING BUT.
The Geode Reworked Button-Up started life as a solid white Hollister shirt. Then we tied it, dyed it, and let the process do what it does best—make something that can't be repeated.
The entire shirt was hand-tied and hand-dyed by Blackwell Kids Co. to create the fractured, organic geode pattern running from collar to cuff. Smoky navy and charcoal move through the original white base with muted gold, earthy olive and unexpected flashes of pink breaking through.
Even the collar, sleeves and cuffs caught their own variations of the dye, giving this piece something different from every angle.
Button it up. Wear it open over a graphic tee. Roll the sleeves. Oversize it on the kids. There really aren't rules for this one.

THE REWORKED DIFFERENCE
This wasn't fabric that came patterned.
Blackwell Kids Co. started with a solid white shirt, tied the garment by hand to create resist points throughout the body and sleeves, and then dyed it. The tying process created the rings, fractured white lines, color pooling and unpredictable markings you see across the finished piece.
The placement of every line and every concentration of color happened during the dye process—which means this exact pattern can never be duplicated.
That's what makes it one of one.
