The Lavender Haze Shorts started as an existing pair of Jumping Beans shorts before getting a new color story at Blackwell Kids Co.
Hand-dyed in a dreamy mix of icy blue, soft lavender and dusty purple, the color settles across the fabric in cloudy washes with tiny scattered flecks of deeper pigment throughout. The result feels soft and watercolor-like without being overly bright.
They're easy, comfortable and just colorful enough to turn an everyday basic into something nobody else has.

THE REWORKED DIFFERENCE
For this piece, color is the transformation.
The original garment was individually hand-dyed, allowing the pigment to move and settle naturally throughout the fabric. Soft washes of blue and lavender blend into deeper purple areas, while tiny concentrations of pigment create the scattered markings you see throughout.
There isn't a printed pattern or a second identical pair.
The dye created the design—and this exact result can't be recreated.
