The Lavender Sky Shorts take an everyday pair of denim shorts and give them an entirely new personality.
This Garanimals pair was hand-dyed by Blackwell Kids Co., creating a dreamy mix of soft blue and lavender with organic lighter areas scattered throughout. The original denim takes the color differently from one area to the next, giving the shorts that watercolor-like movement that makes hand-dyed pieces so good.
Easy enough for everyday play. Different enough to never blend in.

THE REWORKED DIFFERENCE
For this piece, we kept the original shorts exactly as they were and let color do the reworking.
The garment was individually hand-dyed, allowing shades of lavender and blue to move naturally across the existing fabric. Because dye develops differently throughout a finished garment, the variations in saturation, lighter areas and places where the colors overlap are all part of the process.
No two could ever come out exactly the same.
