The Watermelon Acid Wash Skirt started as an existing denim skirt before getting a complete Blackwell color transformation.
We first bleached the denim to remove and lighten the original color, then hand-dyed the piece to create its watermelon-inspired finish. The bleach and dye interact differently across the denim, seams and panels, creating variations in color and texture that couldn't be duplicated exactly—even if we tried.
Bright, playful and just a little unexpected. Pair it with a worn-in graphic tee, oversized sweatshirt or tank and let the color do the talking.

THE REWORKED DIFFERENCE
This piece went through a two-step transformation.
The original denim was first bleached to break down and lighten its existing color, creating a new canvas. We then hand-dyed the skirt, allowing the new color to develop organically across the altered denim.
The uneven washes, variations in saturation and unexpected areas where the colors meet are part of the process—not imperfections. They're what make this skirt impossible to recreate exactly.
